Apron
Tales workshops enhance your story! Sandy provides
a unique workshop opportunity to help you design a hand crafted,
interactive storytelling apron as a backdrop to enchant your
audience and enrich the storytelling experience.
Learn
How to Tell a Story Fast is a great mini workshop that
will demonstrate how to take a story, find its main points,
condense it down and learn to tell it in a matter of minutes.
Be prepared for lots of interaction and leave with at least
one great story under your belt!
Oral
Literacy promotes early literacy, comprehension, critical
thinking, organizational and listening skills. Telling improves
self-esteem and increases vocabulary. Add to that the adventure
of learning new things and showing courtesy to others and you
have a winning combination for your self and your students.
The
Five Languages of Telling workshop enriches
your telling by demonstrating the power of gesture, sound, attitude,
feedback and the words we use in telling stories. Be prepared
to express yourself using non verbal communication. Enriching
and fun!
Interactive
Stories and Embellishments helps you discover the "little
extras" to enhance your stories, keeping the younger child's
attention throughout the telling experience.
From
Book to Tellable Tale teaches you how to turn a treasured
children's book into a tellable tale. Bring your favorite children's
book with you!
Finding
and Telling Personal Stories will help you tell your
own personal story. This is an intensive workshop, full of insights
and time for sharing.
Use
the power of Story to meet the challenge of teaching the Six
Pillars of Good Character. This is the most gracious,
joy-filled method to assess and evalue your students progress
in academic and social setting. One hour to all day workshops
available.
Special
Engagements/Keynote Speaker: Sandy has been a motivational
speaker at ladies' retreats, churches, business meetings and
conventions throughout the United States. She is ready to share
her humor, insights and stories to bring a message of encouragement
and celebration to your special event.

The
Character Counts Series shares why character counts!
Children will participate by sharing the personal meaning the
stories have for them. Great as a precursor to a writing program
or student telling.
Oral
Literacy in the Classroom workshops help children learn
listening skills to gain confidence in using their voice and
bodies to tell stories. Children use their six senses (emotion
is the magic sixth!) in a non-competitve and interactive environment.
This is a great precursor to written work.
Whatever
Happened to the Hohokam? is a program designed to help
your students "see" the ancient people through artifacts,
